There is a LOT of international football on at the moment. But what are the spread bets you should look out for? Spreadex has done some digging... 1. Spain vs USA – 1st USA Goal, 41-44At 15/8 still the fixed odds favourites to win their 4th title, the USA take on Spain in the World Cup last-16, at 5pm on BBC Two. The Americans have always at least reached the semi-finals, so La Roja – who only picked up 4 points in Group B – face an uphill battle in Reims. The USA were quick out of the gate in each of their group games, scoring within 12 minutes against Thailand, 11 minutes against Chile and just 3 minutes against Sweden. It is worth noting, then, that Spreadex are offering a much higher 1st USA Goal spread of 41-44, where the spread represents minutes. 2. Chile vs Uruguay – Cross Bookings, 865-1005In potentially the pick of the Copa America group stages, 2-time defending champions Chile – fuelled by an in-form Alexis Sanchez, at a SMM spread of 18-22 – battle with Luis Suarez’s Uruguay in the Group C decider. Though they can’t take all the blame, Chile’s last game against Ecuador was SPICY. There were 9 yellows and one straight red in the space of 90 minutes, resulting in a massive Cross Bookings make-up of 3000. It might be worth worth keeping an eye on that market this time out, then, at a Cross Bookings spread of 865-1005. 3. Ivory Coast vs South Africa – Wilfried Zaha SMM, 12-15Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is dominating headlines on Monday, with reports suggesting that Unai Emery is pleading with the Arsenal board to free up some more funds to make what is expected to be a £55 million bid for the forward. Arsenal fans will perhaps get a chance to assess whether or not the 26-year old is worth that money when the Ivory Coast take on South Africa in their African Cup of Nations opener. At a SMM spread of 12-15, Zaha is well behind Wilfired Bony, at 23-28, and Nicolas Pepe and Jonathan Kodjia, both at 25-30. 4. Haiti vs Costa Rica – Costa Rica/Haiti Goal Supremacy, 0.9-1.1Both Costa Rica and Haiti are already into the Gold Cup quarter-finals, seeing off Nicaragua and debutantes Bermuda. The Group B winner, however, is yet to be decided; 1st place takes on Canada, 2nd Mexico, so there is good reason to try for the former. Los Ticos should beat Haiti, at a Costa Rica/Haiti Goal Supremacy spread of 0.9-1.1. Make sure to watch the game on Spreadex, which will be live streaming the fixture. 5. Sweden vs Canada – Canada to win in extra time, 4.3-10.6So far 2 of the 4 last-16 fixtures in the Women’s World Cup have needed more than the usual 90 minutes. Norway vs Australia went all the way to penalties, while hosts France knocked out Brazil in extra-time. Given that Canada and Sweden seem pretty evenly matched after the group stages – both won 2 games, each losing to their respective group winners – meaning it could be another long one. Spreadex are offering a Canada to win in extra time spread of 4.3-10.6, with the market making up to 100. Disclaimer: prices quoted are subject to change.
