Weekend's Big Winning Bets

landing-page-weekend-160924

The Premier League is back, and the first truly big upset of the season has landed with Nottingham Forest springing an 11/1 upset at Anfield on Saturday.

There has been plenty of online betting action over the last few days, with punters spoiled for choice, but in this betting blog we have whittled the weekend down to three events where canny spread betting punters landed a tidy profit.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

BOURNEMOUTH v CHELSEA – MULTI-BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 4800)

December is normally the period for flashing cards around, but Christmas had clearly come early for referee Anthony Taylor as the Mancunian showed a league record 14 yellow cards at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

With boardroom machinations occupying the news at Chelsea recently, Enzo Maresca’s side scraped a win over Bournemouth in a match where the hosts had the better chances.

Were it not for the volume of cards, this match would have been consigned to history pretty quickly, but for those who placed a buy bet on our Multi-Bookings football spread betting market it will stay fresh in the memory for some time.

This market multiplies the booking points handed out in the first half (60) with those handed out in the second (80) to with the spread settling at 4800 against a pre-match market of 505-605. Buyers were in the money with a win of 4195x their stake.

HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS v WARRINGTON WOLVES – WARRINGTON TRIES SQUARED (SETTLED AT 144)

There were plenty of lop-sided scorelines this weekend in Super League as Hull KR beat Leigh by 24 points, Saints won 40-4 over Castleford, and Wigan despatched Leeds 38-0 on Friday evening.

The theme continued on Saturday as while Hull were busy conceding 58 points at home to Salford, Huddersfield were having a shocker at home to Warrington. The League Leaders’ Shield may well be out of reach for the Wire, but Sam Burgess’ side were clinical in a match which underlined their Grand Final credentials. Scoring 12 tries in West Yorkshire, three of them coming from electric winger Matty Ashton, saw the Warrington Tries Squared market settle at 144.

With the pre-match spread at 34-40, buyers won 104x their stake.

MOYGLARE STUD STAKES – BEDTIME STORY 50-25-10 (SETTLED AT 0)

There was Group-level racing taking place at Doncaster, Leopardstown and The Curragh over the weekend as horse racing spread betting punters were spoiled for choice.

Joint favourite Jan Brueghel landed the St Leger on Saturday, but there was a shock in the betting on Sunday as the Moyglare Stud Stakes saw Bedtime Story fail to live up to the hype as he came home fifth out of five runners.

Sent off at 4/5 favourite, with a 50-25-10 Race Index spread of 33-36, Ryan Moore’s mount had led with a furlong to go, but the final dash for home was ultimately too much as stablemate Lake Victoria came home to land the spoils.

With Bedtime Story finishing outside the top three, there was a max win for sellers on the Race Index at 33-36 who claimed 33x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
