Spread Bets Of The Day
The international break properly kicks off with a busy evening for Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, while Australia are seeking to top Pool D tomorrow morning. 1. Slovakia vs Wales – 1-0 Wales, 9-14.3If Wales are to stand any chance of replicating their dizzying Euro 2016 campaign in 2020, then they need to buck their ideas up. So far they’ve got 6 points from 4 games, beating Slovakia and Azerbaijan in Cardiff but losing both of their fixtures on the road. They’ve also been useless up front, scraping together a meagre 4 goals total. Any victory on Thursday could be tight, then, with Spreadex offering a 1-0 Wales binary spread of 9-14.3 – the same score line they won by at home back in March. 2. Netherlands vs Northern Ireland – Memphis Depay SMM, 56-66Northern Ireland have had a pretty fantastic qualifying campaign, with 4 wins out of 5 coming alongside a narrow loss to Germany. However, looking at their remaining fixtures, if they can’t get a result in Rotterdam, their chances of reaching Euro 2020 will rapidly start to shrink. Worryingly the Netherlands are coming off a 4-2 win over Germany and a 4-0 thumping of Estonia, and will be feeling confident about getting the win on Thursday. Instrumental to that could be Memphis Depay – he has 4 of the Dutch side’s 14 goals, and sits at an ominous SMM spread of 56-66. 3. Russia vs Scotland – 1st Match Goal, 36-39Like Wales, Scotland’s qualifying campaign is in trouble. On one hand they are worse off than the Welsh, with 2 wins from 6 games; on the other they have the edge over Ryan Giggs’ lot in that they are guaranteed a place in the play-offs. A victory over 2nd place Russia could kick start an unlikely push for automatic qualification, or at least restore a bit of confidence to a side that has lost its last 3 competitive fixtures. If that’s to be the case Scotland could do with scoring early, like they did against the Russians in September. Spreadex are offering a 1st Match Goal spread of 36-39. 4. Belgium vs San Marino – Total Goals, 7.5-7.8As ever, San Marino are having a miserable time of it. They’ve conceded 28 goals in 6 games without scoring once (a stat that makes Scotland’s 2-0 win seem all the more embarrassing). When they hosted Belgium in September they lost 4-0; by the looks of things, that score line could be doubled on Thursday. Perhaps taking San Marino’s 9-0 defeat to Russia in June as a guideline, Spreadex are offering a HUGE Total Goals spread 7.5-7.8. 5. Australia vs Georgia – Australia/Georgia Point Supremacy, 26-29The Rugby World Cup finds itself in something of a weird place due to the disruptions caused by the approaching Super Typhoon Hagibis. Pool D is relatively unaffected however; Wales will top the group by beating Uruguay on Saturday. If they fail to do so, then the Wallabies could take the top spot, as long as they see off Georgia on Friday morning. That shouldn’t be too much of an issues – Spreadex has them at an Australia/Georgia Points Supremacy spread of 26-29. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
