Spread Bets Of The Day
The Wimbledon women’s semi-finals, the remaining African Cup of Nations quarter-finals, and a Thursday night Super League face-off are all part of our Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Serena Williams vs Barbora Strycova – Serena Aces, 8.1-8.8Surprisingly pushed to 3 sets by Alison Riske, Serena Williams nevertheless powered through to the semi-finals, still chasing a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam victory. That extended match time meant Williams ended up securing 19 aces, almost triple her previous tournament peak of 7, managed against both Giulia Gatto-Monticone and Julia Goerges. Elsewhere she got just 2 against Carla Suarez Navarro, and 6 against Kaja Juvan. Can the 7-time Wimbledon champ pick up a similar number against the unseeded Barbora Strycova? Spreadex are offering a Serena Aces spread of 8.1-8.8. 2. Elina Svitolina vs Simona Halep – Svitolina to win match, 28.5-34.8Ranked 7th and 8th seeds respectively, Thursday’s semi-final between Simona Halep and Elina Svitolina could be close. The Romanian has been here before, back in 2014; for Svitolina, however it is her first time in the final 4 of a Grand Slam, previously never progressing past the quarter-finals. That lack of experience seems to have counted against the world no. 8, with Svitolina at a binary to win match spread of 28.5-34.8. 3. Ivory Coast vs Algeria – Adam Ounas SMM, 13-17Algeria are the only side left in the African Cup of Nations to have won every single game. They topped group C with victories over Kenya, Tanzania and, importantly, Senegal, before beating Guinea 3-0 in the last-16. Adam Ounas has score 3 times in 4 games, including an 82nd minute strike in the round of 16. He heads into the quarter-final at a SMM spread of 13-17, and will be looking to pull ahead of Odion Ighalo and Sadio Mane in the race for the Golden Boot. 4. Madagascar vs Tunisia – Tunisia to win on penalties, 5.2-11.8They may be in the quarter-finals, but Tunisia are yet to win a game in normal time, drawing each group fixture before beating Ghana on penalties in the last-16. Madagascar, meanwhile, managed to top Group B ahead of now-semi-finalists Nigeria, picking up a 2-0 victory over the Super Eagles in doing so. If they can grind out another draw then the Eagles of Carthage could go all the way, with Spreadex offering a Tunisia to win on penalties binary spread of 5.2-11.8. 5. Hull FC vs London Broncos – Hull FC Multi-Points, 287-321To keep Wigan and the Catalan Dragons at bay Hull FC could do with beating London on Thursday. For the Broncos a victory is even more urgent, given they are at the bottom of the Super League but level on points with Hull KR. Last time they met, back in March, Hull won 28-24, though the Black and Whites have lost their last 2 fixtures (admittedly, so have the Broncos). Still, the hosts should win, with Spreadex offering a Hull FC Multi-Points spread of 287-321.
