Spread Bets Of The Day
A delayed top of the table El Clasico, a terrifying visit from Man City for Oxford, and a FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final for Liverpool – it’s our Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Barcelona v Real Madrid – Bookings, 74-78Delayed from October due to protests in the Catalan region, Barcelona and Real Madrid face-off in a high stakes El Clasico this Wednesday, one that could break the deadlock at the top of La Liga. Currently Nou Camp’s finest are 1st, beating out Real by a negligible goal difference. Both were held last weekend, Barca at Real Sociedad and Madrid at Valencia. Lionel Messi has a conservative – for him – 14 goals in all competitions, followed by Luis Suarez on 12; Karim Benzema beats them both on 16. Things have a tendency to get a bit spicy between the Spanish behemoths, something only exacerbated by the title implications of the fixture. Hence why Spreadex are offering a mighty feisty Bookings spread of 74-78. 2. Oxford United v Man City – Man City/Oxford United (h) Goal Supremacy, 2.55-2.75Avoiding Liverpool, Leicester and Man United, Man City were dealt a rather kind Carabao Cup quarter-final: a trip to League One’s Oxford United. The U’s own path through the competition has been pretty fortunate. The only Premier League side they’ve faced has been West Ham, and though that was indeed the site of their biggest victory – they beat the Hammers 4-0 – they’ve still been lucky to avoid a team like City. Karl Robinson’s lads have every reason to be worried ahead of Wednesday’s tie. Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus BOTH sit at SMM spreads of 81-86. Meanwhile the visitors are at a rather ominous Man City/Oxford United (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 2.55-2.75, with a Total Goals spread of 4-4.3. 3. Monterrey v Liverpool – Sadio Mane SMM, 58-68After effectively sacrificing their spot in the EFL Cup in favour of chasing the FIFA Club World Cup, Liverpool need to justify that decision by beating Mexico’s Monterrey, at 5.30pm on BBC Two. The CONCACAF Champions League winners only narrowly made the semi-finals, surviving a scare as they beat Qatar’s Al-Sadd 3-2. That kind of result will be of comfort to the Reds, who are still yet to lose in the league. In fact, they’ve suffered just 2 losses all season, and even then one of those was by their under-23s at Villa last night. Following his brace against Watford at the weekend, Mohamed Salah goes into the quarter-final at a huge SMM 85-100. Even though he hasn’t scored in the last few games, Sadio Mane – who is on the same 13 goals as his Egyptian partner – might be more appealing at 58-68.
