Spread Bets Of The Day
The FA Cup quarter-finals take precedent this weekend, though there is still some Premier League action. But what should you be keeping an eye on? It’s the Spread Bets of the Weekend! 1. Leicester v Chelsea – Chelsea/Leicester (h) Goal Supremacy, 0.05-0.25Doing battle for 3rd place in the Premier League, Leicester and Chelsea meet in the FA Cup this Sunday, at 4pm on BT Sport 1.Though it hasn’t been without its ups and downs, Frank Lampard has set some strong foundations at Chelsea. They are unbeaten in their last 5 league games, a run that includes wins over Tottenham, Everton and Man City, and knocked Liverpool out in the 5th round of the FA Cup.Leicester, meanwhile, have seen their red hot form dry up in 2020, managing only 3 league wins in 11 fixtures. As for the Cup, they’ve ducked any top tier competition, facing Wigan, Brentford and Birmingham. Riding high after their midweek win, the Blues have the edge heading into the weekend, at a Chelsea/Leicester (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.05-0.25. 2. Newcastle v Man City – Man City FA Cup Index, 78-81Despite their lacklustre title defence and European ban, 2019/20 could still turn out quite nicely for Man City. They’ve already won the EFL Cup, have 2 away goals heading into their Champions League 2nd leg against Real Madrid, and are favourites to win the FA Cup. Guardiola’s guys travel to Newcastle this Sunday, at 6.30pm on BBC One. And while the Magpies actually held City to a 2-2 draw in the league, and City are coming off a loss at Stamford Bridge, the visitors still sit at a massive Goal Supremacy spread of 2.1-2.3. They’re also at a FA Cup Index spread of 78-81, where the winner gets 100 points and the runner-up 70. 3. Sheffield United v Arsenal – Arsenal/Sheffield United (h) Goal Supremacy, 0.1-0.3Still the season’s surprise package – especially when you consider the fates of their fellow promotees – Sheffield United are nevertheless struggling. The Blades host Arsenal this Sunday, at 1pm on BT Sport 1. Since the league resumed, they’ve lost both of their games away from home 3-0, doing major damage to their hopes of reaching Europe next season. Not that Arsenal have been much better, with defeats at City and Brighton, and a win at Southampton. That latter victory perhaps gives the visitors the slight advantage, with Spreadex offering an Arsenal/Sheffield United (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.1-0.3. 4. Norwich v Man United – Total Goal Minutes, 141-151Things are looking bleak for Norwich, league-wise. Can they find some salvation with an FA Cup win over Man United, at 5.30pm on BBC One this Saturday? With just 5 wins to their name in the league, and a meagre 21 points total, the Canaries are likely done in the top flight. Yet they have a solid record in the Cup, knocking out Spurs on penalties in the 5th round. United, meanwhile, haven’t faced a Premier League opponent in the competition since their 3rd round replay against Wolves. Last time these sides met, United won 3-1, with a Total Goal Minutes makeup of 212. This time out, Spreadex is offering a Total Goal Minutes spread of 141-151. 5. Aston Villa v Wolves – Last Match Goal, 61-64In the first of 2 Premier League games this weekend, there’s a Midlands meet-up between Aston Villa and Wolves at 12.30pm on BT Sport 1 this Saturday. Heading into Saturday’s game, Spreadex is offering a Last Match Goal spread of 61-64. It relation to that price, Wolves have scored after the 64th minute in 15 of their 31 games; Villa have done the same in 13 of their fixtures. In fact, when these sides last met, the game ended 2-1 to Wolves, but with Villa getting the final goal in injury time. Disclaimer: spread betting losses can exceed deposit.
