Spread Bets Of The Day
Can Sheffield stop Liverpool? Will Japan surprise Ireland? Who’ll take control of Pool D, Wales or Australia? It’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Sheffield United v Liverpool – Liverpool/Sheffield United (h) Goal Supremacy, 1.4-1.6This may come as a surprise – only Liverpool and Leicester have been better defensively this season than Sheffield United, the side conceding the same 6 goals as Man City and Man United. However, they have, only scored 7 times; the Reds, in contrast, had netted 17 goals. That makes the Liverpool/Sheffield United (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.4-1.6 an interesting one to watch – can the hosts keep the league leaders at bay enough to make that price profitable for Blades fans? 2. Japan v Ireland – Total Points, 55-58With the force of a nation behind them, the hosts Japan will be looking to spring a surprise on Pool A favourites Ireland. The Irish made short work of Scotland, beating their rivals 27-3; Japan, meanwhile, were fuelled by Kotaro Matsushima’s hat-trick as they bested Russia 30-10. Saturday’s clash in Fukuroi could be higher scoring than both of those openers, with Spreadex offering a Total Points price of 55-58. 3. Everton v Man City – Man City Clean Sheet, 40-47.7City have more than shown that their loss against Norwich was a blip – since then they’ve beaten Watford 8-0, Preston 3-0 and Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0. Everton, meanwhile haven’t scored in half of their league games this season, and are coming up against one of its better defences There’s every possibility, then, that the Man City Clean Sheet binary spread of 40-47.7 might be a tad on the low side. 4. Australia v Wales – Wales/Australia Point Supremacy, 1-4Despite both sides picking up a bonus point, Australia were slightly more troubled against Fiji than Wales were against Georgia. That maybe just about gives Warren Gatland’s side the edge in what could be an incredibly tight, and potentially Pool D-deciding, showdown in Tokyo. Spreadex are offering a Wales/Australia Point Supremacy spread of 1-4. 5. Leicester v Newcastle – Jamie Vardy SMM, 48-56It’s been a good 7 days for Leicester. They came back from 1-0 down to beat Tottenham 2-1, before breezing past Luton in the EFL Cup, winning 4-0. They’ve also got the joint best defence in the league, with only 5 goals conceded. However, Jamie Vardy has been unusually quiet, with only 3 goals in his 7 appearances (including the EFL Cup). Given Newcastle have twice conceded 3 on the road, Sunday could provide Vardy, who’s at a SMM spread of 48-56, a chance to up his total.Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
