Spread Bets Of The Day
Tuesday’s fixtures could have major implications at the top(ish) and bottom of the Premier League, as Arsenal host Leicester, Chelsea travel to Palace and Watford meet Norwich. But what markets should you be watching? 1. Arsenal v Leicester – Jamie Vardy SMM, 28-33With Arsenal eyeing the Champions League – but far from guaranteed a spot in the Europa League – and Leicester in danger of relinquishing 3rd place, there’s a lot to play for at 8.15pm on Sky Sports Premier League. The Gunners are currently in 7th, 6 points adrift of Man United – the lower threshold for the UCL – and only 1 ahead of 9th place Sheffield. After a disastrous return, with back-to-back losses at City and Brighton, they’ve built up a nice head of steam, with clean sheet victories over Southampton, Norwich and Wolves, as well as a FA Cup quarter-final win at Bramall Lane. Leicester, meanwhile, finally got their first post-restart win at the weekend, beating Crystal Palace 3-0. The game was notable for a late brace from Jamie Vardy, scoring only his 3rd and 4th goals of 2020. The Englishman is now on 21 Premier League goals this season, 2 ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the race for the Golden Boot. The Gabonese forward has the superior SMM spread, however, at 41-48 to Vardy’s 28-33. 2. Crystal Palace v Chelsea – Chelsea/Crystal Palace (h) Goal Supremacy, 1.2-1.4With a win against Crystal Palace, at 6pm on Sky Sports Main Event, Chelsea can finally take 3rd place. What Leicester do at Arsenal will then dictate whether or not they remain there for longer than a couple of hours. Their shock defeat at West Ham aside, the Blues have looked pretty good, including wins over Man City, Leicester and, on Saturday, Watford. As for Palace, they can be thankful they picked up enough points pre-lockdown to likely guarantee their spot in the Premier League next season. Because, after beating Bournemouth 2-0, they’ve suffered 3 losses on the trot, without scoring a single goal in return. That explains why the visitors are quite so heavily favoured, at a Chelsea/Crystal Palace (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.2-1.4. 3. Watford v Norwich – Total Card Minutes, 224-254If the Canaries are to stand any chance of remaining in the top flight – and it’s going to be a big ask – then they have to beat Watford, at 6pm free on Pick TV (and Sky One). The Hornets are far from safe themselves. Just one point separates them and both Villa and Bournemouth, meaning a loss or draw on Tuesday would open them up for trouble this week. In 10 fixtures between them – 5 apiece since March 7th – they’ve earned an atrocious 1 point, coming from Watford’s late draw against Leicester. They’ve also been fairly consistently picking up late yellows. Norwich, for example, have an injury time booking in 3 of their last 4 games. With that in mind, Spreadex is offering a Total Card Minutes spread of 224-254.Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
