Spread Bets Of The Day
With the end of 19/20 still in the rearview, the 20/21 Premier League kicks-off on Saturday – but what should football spread betting fans be watching out for? It’s the Sports Spread Bets of the Weekend! What are the odds on Fulham getting relegated? The season’s curtain raiser takes place at Craven Cottage, as a returning Fulham host Arsenal at 12.30pm on BT Sport 1.Still chasing Thomas Partey or Houssem Aouar, the Gunners have had a busy summer, bringing in Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes and Dani Ceballos, the latter still on loan from Madrid. But where will Arsenal finish in 2020/21? Spreadex have them missing out on the top 4, with a Season Points spread of 63-64.5 and a Finishing Position spread of 5.8-6.8. As for the Cottagers, they are favourites for the drop, at the same Relegation Index spread of 16-19 as West Brom. They’re also odds on for relegation at 10/11. In terms of Saturday, the Gunners will be looking for a big win, at an Arsenal/Fulham Goal Supremacy spread of 1-1.2 and a Total Goals spread of 2.75-2.95. Will Roy Hodgson be fired this season? It’s perhaps a surprise that Roy Hodgson still has a job; a longer break may have seen him gone. But he is still in charge at Selhurst Park, despite Palace ending last season with 7 losses and a draw in their final 8 games. Southampton, meanwhile, will be hoping to build on 2019/20’s 11th place – Spreadex have them at Finishing Position spread of 9.75-11.25. Heading into Saturday, at 3pm on BT Sport 1, the visitors are favourites, at a Southampton/Crystal Palace (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.15-0.35. What are the odds on Liverpool retaining the title? After last season’s league-winning catharsis – 30 years in the making – Liverpool face an even tougher task: holding onto the title. Their defence kicks off against Championship champs Leeds, at 5.30pm on Sky Sports Premier League. According to Spreadex, the Reds aren’t going to make it 2 in a row. They’re at a Season Points spread of 85.5-87 compared to City’s 88-89.5, with a fixed odds price of 23/10 to win the title. Their Manc rivals are odds on at 8/11. Finally back in the top flight, where will Leeds finish in 2020/21? Spreadex has them doing well, with a Finishing Position spread of 11.5-13. They face a re-baptism of fire on Saturday, however. Spreadex are offering a Liverpool/Leeds Goal Supremacy spread of 1.5-1.7, with a Total Goal Minutes spread of 158-168. Are West Ham in danger of being relegated?Headlining Saturday, at 8pm on Sky Sports Premier League, West Ham host Newcastle in a battle between dark horse relegation candidates. The Hammers sit at a Relegation Index spread of 3-6 – where its 50 points for bottom place, 25 for 19th and 10 for 18th – with the Magpies worse off at the same 7-10 as Crystal Palace. Unsurprisingly that also puts the hosts in the driving seat heading into the weekend, at a West Ham/Newcastle Goal Supremacy spread of 0.25-0.45. Where will Leicester finish in 2020/21?It was a real tale of two halves for Leicester last season, their blistering form pre-Christmas meaning they still managed a top 5 finish despite unravelling after the restart. It looks like they’re going to continue to drift in 2020/21 – Spreadex is offering a Leicester Finishing Position spread of 8-9.5, and a Season Points spread of 54-55.5. Championship runners-up West Brom, meanwhile, are facing a fight to stay in the top flight, on a Season Points spread of 33.5-35, and Evens fixed odds to go down. If Jamie Vardy is in-form, the Foxes should have the teeth to bite into the Baggies when the pair meet on Sunday, at 2pm on Sky Sports Premier League. Spreadex is offering a Leicester/West Brom (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.45-0.65. What are the odds on Harry Kane winning the Golden Boot?In the weekend’s final game, Tottenham host Everton at 4.30pm on Sky Sports Premier League. With a busy week ahead of them – they travel to Bulgaria for a Europa League qualifier on Thursday – Spurs would’ve wanted a slightly less tricky opening fixture. The Toffees have done some decent business over the summer, namely bringing in James Rodriguez from Real Madrid. The Colombian sits at a PGM spread of 9-12, behind Richarlison at 12-15. Tottenham, on the other hand, have been fairly quiet, their headline transfer signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton. Their success this season, then, is going to be in large part predicated on the health of Harry Kane. The England forward heads into the weekend at a PGM spread of 26-29, and is at 6/1 to be the season’s top scorer in 2020/21. The hosts should pick up all 3 points on Sunday, with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.45-0.65. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
