Spread Bets Of The Day
The return of Man United, a London derby, and Chelsea v Liverpool – but what should football spread betting punters be watching out for? It’s the Sports Spread Bets of the Weekend! What are the odds on Chelsea beating Liverpool? In the first major clash of 2020/21, defending champions Liverpool travel to a new look, if still unsettled, Chelsea this Sunday at 4.30pm on Sky Sports Premier League. Both had their issues last weekend. The Reds conceded 3 against Leeds, requiring a Mo Salah hat-trick to get all 3 points, while there was evidence of rust in Chelsea’s 3-1 win at Brighton. It wasn’t too long ago that Liverpool beat Chelsea, winning 5-3 in the penultimate game of 19/20. Will there be as many goals this time? Spreadex are offering a Total Goals spread of 3-3.2, with a Total Goal Minute spread of 152-162. Meanwhile, what are the odds on Timo Werner scoring against Liverpool? The German is at a PGM spread of 19-22, notably behind Salah at 26-29. The visitors should have the edge, at a Liverpool/Chelsea (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.25-0.45. The Blues, meanwhile, are at 21/10 fixed odds to win on Sunday. When was the last time Leeds won a Premier League fixture?Chasing their first top flight victory since April 2004’s 2-1 win at Blackburn, Leeds take on fellow promotees Fulham at 3pm on BT Sport 1 this Saturday. If the Whites could give Liverpool a run for their money, then a Fulham side who lost 3-0 to Arsenal and only beat Ipswich 1-0 shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Then again, Leeds did exit the EFL Cup on penalties to Hull mid-week. Still, Marcelo Bielsa’s boys are easy favourites, at a Leeds/Fulham Goal Supremacy spread of 0.8-1, with a 1st Match Goal spread of 35-38. Where will Man United finish this season? Finally kicking off their 2020/21 season, Man United host Crystal Palace this Saturday, at 5.30pm on Sky Sports Premier League. With Donny van de Beek their only signing so far, there’s not going to be a huge change from the side that beat Palace 2-0 in mid-July (or, really, the side that lost 2-1 last August). Spreadex are offering a chunky Man United/Palace Goal Supremacy spread of 1.45-1.65. As for the season as a whole, United sit at a Finishing Positions spread of 3.9-4.4, behind Chelsea at 3.6-4.1 but well ahead of Arsenal at 5.5-6.5. How long is Aubameyang’s new Arsenal contract? In their first game since captain Pierre signed a new 3-year contract, Arsenal take on West Ham this Saturday evening, at 8pm on Sky Sports Premier League. Recovering from their 2-0 loss to Newcastle with a 3-0 win at Charlton, the Hammers still probably don’t have what it takes to beat Mikel Arteta’s Gunners, hence a one-sided Arsenal/West Ham Goal Supremacy spread of 1-1.2, and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 150-160. Will Gareth Bale face Southampton on Sunday? It could be a real homecoming for Gareth Bale on Sunday, not only playing for Tottenham for the first time since 2013, but doing so against his old club Southampton. The teams meet at 12pm on BT Sport 1. It’s not a guarantee that Bale plays this weekend. If he does, however, one would imagine Spurs will stand a better chance of victory than a rather limp Tottenham/Southampton (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.1-0.3 would suggest. What channel is Leicester v Burnley on?In the first free to air game of the season, Leicester host Burnley this Sunday, at 7pm on BBC One. It’s the Clarets 2020/21 Premier League debut, after beating Sheffield United on penalties in the Carabao Cup on Thursday. It’s going to be difficult for the visitors, with Spreadex offering a Leicester/Burnley Goal Supremacy spread of 0.9-1.1. And what are the odds on Jamie Vardy scoring against Burnley? After last weekend’s brace, he sits at a Player Goal Minutes spread of 31-34. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
