The qualifiers for the World Snooker Championships start today and the hype is all surrounding whether 10-times ladies champion Reanne Evans will make it through to the first round proper and become the first female to appear in the tournament.

Elsewhere Jimmy White plays James Wattana and Graeme Dott takes on Mark Owens. The tournament proper starts on April 18th.

Last week's seven way live TV debate didn't greatly move the spread betting markets ahead of the General Election in May, however the SNP have made a small gain at the expense of Labour.

Nicola Sturgeon was the surprise winner in many people's eyes last week, but she then suffered a tough time of it in the Scottish TV debate.

Currently the Conservatives' number of predicted seats is 282 – 287, Labour's down slightly to 269 – 274, the SNP up marginally to 42 – 45, the Lib Dems static at 24 – 27 and UKIP down a fraction at 4 – 6.

Our fixed odds prices for the most seats are Conservatives at 4/9, Labour 13/8, UKIP 100/1 and Lib Dems 400/1.

In terms of overall majority, No Overall Majority has shortened to 1/8, Conservative Majority 11/2, Labour Majority lengthened to 22/1, UKIP Majority 100/1 and Lib Dem Majority 500/1.
