FA Cup semi-finals, Everton v Tottenham, What Happens Next?

Coleraine’s Josh Carson is attempting to defend against Glentoran in the Irish Premiership – what happens next?

1. Chelsea v Man City – 5.30pm Saturday, BBC One
This fixture means big things for both teams, representing on one hand Thomas Tuchel’s best chance at silverware in his first (half) season at Chelsea, and on the other a key part of Man City’s quadruple dreams.

Calamity at West Brom aside, the Blues have been mighty disciplined under Tuchel. City, meanwhile, haven’t lost a game outside the league.

Spreadex is offering a Man City/Chelsea Goal Supremacy spread of 0.55-0.75, with City at 5/6 to win the game and Chelsea at 10/3.

Those prices sit alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.5-2.7, a Total Goal Minutes spread of 128-138, and an Over 3.5 Goals fixed odds price of 12/5.

2. Leicester v Southampton – 6.30pm Sunday, BT Sport 1
The Foxes have never won the FA Cup. And yet somehow Southampton need to reach the final more, to rescue a disappointing season that has seen them swing from top 5 contenders to bottom half has-beens.

One of the ugliest evenings in Saints history was inflicted by Leicester, that record-matching 9-0 loss at St Mary’s. Victory for Southampton, then, would be made even sweeter.

However, it’s hard to see beyond the Foxes, at a fixed odds price of 17/20, alongside a Leicester/Southampton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.5-0.7. In comparison, Southampton are at match odds of 3/1.

3. Everton v Tottenham – 8pm Friday, Sky Sports Premier League
After failing to do so with their draw against Brighton, Everton can leapfrog Spurs in the race for, if not the Champions League, then 5th place with a win on Friday.

Given the Toffees played on Monday, Spreadex is giving the edge to the visitors, at a Tottenham/Everton (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.2-0.4, with Spurs at 5/4 to win the game and Everton at 9/4.

4. Newcastle v West Ham – 12.30pm Saturday, Sky Sports Premier League
With Chelsea playing in the FA Cup, West Ham have a chance to open up a 4-point gap between them and their West London rivals. The Magpies, meanwhile, are 6 points above the relegation zone, with a game in hand over Fulham.

High stakes for both sides, then, but a fixture that skews in favour of the visitors. Spreadex has West Ham at Evens to Newcastle’s 14/5, with a West Ham/Newcastle (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.4-0.6.

5. Man United v Burnley – 4pm Sunday, Sky Sports Premier League
United can reduce City’s lead at the top to a potentially surmountable 8 points if they beat Burnley on Sunday. The Clarets, on the other hand, are likely safe from relegation, though a continuation of their April downturn could change that.

This game is realistically United’s to lose – Spreadex has the red half of Manchester odds on at 1/3 to win the game, with a Draw at 4/1 and a Burnley victory at 17/2. The hosts are also at a Man United/Burnley Goal Supremacy spread of 1.35-1.55.
